Call for Entries:

Chicago Sculpture International Juried Exhibition at Prairie State College – Christopher Art Gallery

February 5-29, 2024

Entry deadline: December 8, 2023

Sculptors are invited to enter up to three works in the
Chicago Sculpture International Juried Exhibition at 
Prairie State College – Christopher Art Gallery

The exhibition will be juried and curated by Beth Shadur.

If selected for the exhibition, artists must be a current CSI member
or sign-up for membership: www.chicagosculpture.org/become-a-member  

An artist’s statement and short bio will be required for the accepted piece.

About the gallery:

The Christopher Art Gallery gallery is located on the first floor
of the main campus building and consists of 1300 square feet.

Entry Requirements 

• All entries will be submitted as digital, jpeg images.

• Artists may submit an additional detail image for each entry.

• Each entry must be saved with a file name in the following format:

• Artist’s name, title of work, and number of the entry,
  separated by underscore.
  Example: FirstName LastName_SublimeSculpture_3

• Please format jpegs to: 300 dpi at 4” x 5” or 72 dpi, 1024 pixels in longest
  dimension.

• Images should be no larger than 4MB each.

• Pedestal and wall hung work only. No screws. Heaviest weight allowed
  should be less than 50 pounds. Wall relief work not to exceed 70” in height. 
  No work should be wider than 4 feet.

• A list should accompany accepted work with the artist’s name, title, size,
  weight (if heavier than 20 pounds) medium, and price or insurance value
  if NFS. The Gallery Director displays a price list for works available for sale and
  facilitates sale of work for the artists. The sales transactions are handled
  by the Foundation, with 20% commission retained by the PSC foundation,
  Prairie State College.

Delivery of Accepted Work:
January 26, 2024, 10am-3pm;
January 27, 2024, 10am-1pm

Exhibition dates: February, 5-29, 2024

Opening Reception: February 7, 11AM - 1:30PM
Closing Reception and Pick Up of Work:
February 29, 4-7PM
