Chicago Park District
2012-2013
The 2012-2013 Chicago Park District/Chicago Sculpture International Outdoor Exhibition was a juried public art exhibition that brought 53 large-scale sculptures into Chicago’s lakefront parks. The exhibition was composed of work by members of the three affiliate groups of the International Sculpture Center: Chicago Sculpture International, Mid-South Sculpture Alliance, and Texas Sculptors Group. Its opening coincides with the International Sculpture Center Conference, held in October 2012 at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The exhibit closed in the fall of 2013.
The jurors of this exhibition were internationally-renowned sculptor and 2009 International Sculpture Center Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Richard Hunt, who is based in Chicago, and Adam Schwerner, Director of Natural Resources for the Chicago Park District. Fisher Stolz is a sculptor and was vice-president of Chicago Sculpture International and its director of the 2012-2013 CPD/CSI Outdoor Exhibition season.
